Key Qualifications:
- Valid Standard Professional Certificate required.
- Completion of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement is mandatory.
- IVP Fingerprint Card must be obtained prior to the start date.
- Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in educational settings is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability in classroom and virtual environments.
- Comfortable designing accommodations and differentiated instruction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned to IEPs for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Develop lesson plans, modify curricular materials, and implement effective strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and special education teams, serving as a resource for best practices.
- Provide ongoing support, assessment, and progress monitoring for each student on your caseload.
- Maintain timely documentation and compliance with state and federal educational requirements.
- Participate in professional development and family meetings as needed.
