This rewarding, full-time contract opportunity runs from early August through late May, supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing with specialized instructional strategies and accommodation plans. The position is based onsite, but virtual candidates may also be considered depending on experience and credentials.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Standard Professional Teaching Certificate is required.
  • Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement completed.
  • Current IVP Fingerprint Card.
  • Proven background working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a K-12 educational setting.
  • Ability to develop individualized lessons and employ adaptive teaching techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working collaboratively with fellow educators, specialists, and families.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials as needed to ensure accessibility.
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement IEPs.
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and needs.
