Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Chandler, AZ

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Standard Professional Certificate with completed Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement
- IVP Fingerprint Card required
- Relevant experience serving deaf and hard of hearing students (K-12) strongly preferred
- Proficient in instructional strategies and accommodations tailored to deaf/hard of hearing learners
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, fostering communication and language skills in an accessible environment
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech/language pathologists, and other specialists to support inclusion and student growth
- Facilitate student progress monitoring and provide regular updates to families and staff
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that respects diverse learning styles and language modalities
