English Computer Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Dallas, Texas
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to work full-time or part-time in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This role focuses on supporting high school students with hearing impairments, providing specialized instruction tailored to their needs. The position requires working Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week for full-time, but part-time opportunities may also be available.
Key responsibilities include delivering educational content aligned with high school core subjects, using effective communication strategies, and collaborating with audiologists and support staff to develop individualized learning plans. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, proficiency in English, and experience working within a school setting serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Qualifications and experience:
- Active Texas Department of Education (TX DOE) certification in high school core subjects
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Audiologist credentials preferred
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school students
- Competence in computer use for educational purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English
