Elementary Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | San Antonio, Texas
An elementary-level professional is needed to provide specialized instruction and support for deaf and hard of hearing students during the 2026-2027 school year in San Antonio, TX. This full-time, contract position requires a dedicated educator passionate about fostering an inclusive learning environment tailored to students' unique communication and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students in elementary grades
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and support staff to develop and implement effective educational plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Facilitate communication between students, families, and school personnel to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid education certification specific to teaching deaf and hard of hearing students is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
