You’ll be the anchor of communication and growth for students, working closely with them to create accessible learning environments. Leverage your skills and passion to foster both academic and personal success in a dynamic, inclusive setting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education required; Master’s degree highly valued
  • Active Texas Department of Education Certification
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Prior experience working with high school aged students preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Develop individualized educational plans and modify general curriculum as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Advocate for student needs and accessibility within the high school environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support
  • Create an inclusive classroom that encourages participation and learning
