Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grades K-12.
- Assess individual student needs and develop individualized educational plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Facilitate communication skills development, including auditory and visual strategies, aligned with students’ goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and services provided.
- Participate in professional development and district meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
- Experience teaching DHH students, ideally ranging from 0 to 10+ years, with varying compensation reflecting years of experience.
- Ability to work onsite within the assigned schools across the district; candidates must be willing to travel within the area as assignments may vary.
- Successful completion of district-mandated background screening and fingerprinting process.
