Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold (or able to obtain) appropriate state certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in school settings, preferably K-12
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with instructional technologies and adaptive tools to support learning needs
- Passion for empowering students and advocating for accessibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to K-12 students with hearing impairments in both group and individual settings
- Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other educational staff
- Adapt classroom content and resources to ensure access and growth for each child
- Provide direct support on language development, academic skills, and social-emotional needs
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as required
