Key Role Details:
- Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week
- Immediate start with placement through the end of the school year
- Caseload involves 40 students: 10 receive direct in-person services, while 30 benefit from indirect support, which can be provided virtually
- Hourly compensation is competitive, ranging from $35 to $40+ based on experience
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education specializing in Teaching Deaf or Hard of Hearing Students
- Current Texas certification in Teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
- Prior experience working with school-age children is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to create and adapt educational plans
- Provide both direct in-person and indirect virtual services, depending on student needs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as required
