Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | South Dakota

A teaching opportunity is available for professionals skilled in educating students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through telehealth services. This contract position requires specialized knowledge and experience to effectively support the learning and communication needs of this unique student population via remote platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing using telehealth technologies.
• Collaborating with families, educators, and service providers to develop and implement educational plans tailored to students’ auditory and language needs.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes in a virtual environment.
• Providing resources and training to caregivers and staff on communication techniques and assistive listening devices.
• Maintaining documentation and compliance with relevant educational and therapeutic standards.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification and/or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Demonstrated proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote instruction methods.
