Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | South Dakota
A contract position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, providing instruction and support through telehealth services. This role focuses on delivering specialized education remotely to meet the unique needs of students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and tailor instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) via telehealth platforms.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to support student progress.
- Use assistive technology and remote teaching methods effectively to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor and document student progress regularly and adjust strategies as necessary.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with students in K-12 settings preferred.
