Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in CO
An opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. This part-time onsite role focuses on providing specialized instruction to a 6th-grade student, dedicating approximately 120 minutes per month to individualized support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational support to a student with hearing impairments through telehealth methods.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed.
- Provide expertise in enhancing communication skills and auditory access.
- Ensure compliance with state educational standards for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification.
- Experience in telehealth or remote instructional delivery preferred.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of students with hearing impairments.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
