Online Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Colorado

A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. This role supports students with hearing impairments through remote instructional methods, ensuring accessible and effective communication and learning.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized telehealth instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Assessing student needs and adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning plans
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance educational outcomes and provide resources
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed records of interventions and outcomes
• Engaging with families and caregivers to support student development and promote home-based learning supports

Qualifications or desired experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Proven experience in telehealth or remote instruction settings
• Strong understanding of auditory and visual learning strategies for students with hearing loss
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and professionals
