Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Colorado

A specialized opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing with expertise in telehealth services. This contract position is based in Littleton, CO, and involves delivering specialized educational support remotely to students with hearing impairments.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing utilizing telehealth platforms.
• Collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers to develop and implement tailored educational plans.
• Conducting ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adapting instructional methods accordingly.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing.
• Demonstrated experience delivering telehealth or remote educational services to students with hearing impairments.
• Strong knowledge of auditory-verbal therapy techniques, speechreading, and assistive listening devices.
• Proficiency with telecommunication platforms and relevant technology for remote instruction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for virtual collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
