Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Arkansas

An opportunity is available for a specialist providing telehealth services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This role supports educational development through remote instruction and collaboration with educators and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized telehealth sessions tailored to the needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote language, communication, and academic goals.
• Collaborate with school staff, speech therapists, and families to ensure consistency and support across learning environments.
• Utilize specialized technology and resources to enhance auditory and speech development remotely.
• Maintain detailed records of sessions and student development, complying with educational standards and confidentiality requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification and/or license relevant to teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Experience in telehealth or virtual instruction within an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of audiological and speech-language principles as they apply to Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage students and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and remote learning platforms.
