Online Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Arkansas
A contract position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, delivering services via telehealth to students in a school setting. This role requires expertise in supporting students with hearing impairments through remote instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing using telehealth platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student success.
- Maintain accurate records of services and compliance with relevant guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience with telehealth service delivery models in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of assistive technologies and communication methods appropriate for students with hearing loss.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage remote instruction effectively.
