Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in NV
Providing specialized instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through telehealth services offers a unique and impactful opportunity to support their academic and communication development. This position is based in North Las Vegas, NV, and operates within an educational setting under a contract agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational support and instruction via telehealth platforms to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Utilize assistive technology and communication tools effectively to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided and student outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with students who have hearing impairments.
- Proficiency in telehealth delivery methods and relevant educational technology.
- Strong communication skills to partner with students, families, and educational professionals.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote instructional schedule.
