Online Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Mississippi
Seeking a specialized educator to provide telehealth services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This role involves delivering tailored instruction and support remotely to ensure accessibility and academic progress within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessment and evaluation of students’ communication needs via telehealth platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focusing on speech, language, and auditory development.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success.
- Utilize technology effectively to deliver virtual lessons and monitor student progress.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with educational standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience delivering educational services through telehealth.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in assistive technology.
- Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction for students with hearing loss.
- Knowledge of state and federal guidelines related to special education.
