Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in MA
Provide specialized telehealth instruction and sign language interpretation for a Grade 3 student with hearing impairments in an educational setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sign language interpreting services and instruction via telehealth platforms tailored to the needs of the Grade 3 student
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate effective communication and learning strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust interpreting methods to enhance understanding and engagement
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in all interactions
- Assist in creating an inclusive learning environment that supports the student’s auditory and linguistic needs
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience with deaf and hard of hearing populations
- Previous experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings, preferably with telehealth delivery
