Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated fluency.

- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation is strongly preferred.
- Educational credentialing or certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or current ASL interpreter certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt communication styles to meet diverse student needs.
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time ASL interpretation during instruction, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and assignments as needed.
- Support the development and monitoring of accommodations for students’ individual education plans (IEPs).
- Act as a language model and resource for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Participate in team meetings, assessments, and ongoing professional development.
