Make a real difference by delivering specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a vibrant school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00am to 3:30pm, with services provided onsite across multiple locations. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027.

You will work directly with a diverse caseload of 22 students—three of whom are completely deaf and require intensive, individualized services, while the others experience varying levels of hearing impairment and need a combination of direct instruction and consultation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Previous experience with students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing impaired in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of specialized instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and communication methods (such as ASL)
  • Ability to travel between school sites to provide services as needed
  • Skilled in collaborating with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services tailored to students’ needs, both individual and small groups
  • Provide intensive support for students who are completely deaf
  • Develop and implement instructional plans using a variety of communication strategies
  • Consult and collaborate with general education staff to foster an inclusive environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to education teams and families
  • Maintain thorough records in accordance with educational requirements
