Desired Qualifications:
- Valid DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) Certification issued in Texas
- Experience working with young children in educational or therapeutic settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for students with hearing differences
- Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans for diverse learners and accommodate various communication modalities
- Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices for early intervention
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to early childhood students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with student teams and families
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure access and inclusion
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed for optimal learning
- Advocate for student needs and communicate regularly with families
