Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (consult state requirements)

- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modes used by D/HH students
- Strong ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Competence in conducting assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills to navigate multiple assignments and settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and implement accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students within mainstream and/or specialized classrooms
- Provide direct instruction and interventions tailored to individual needs
- Consult with school staff to promote accessible learning environments
- Foster self-advocacy, social-emotional growth, and communication development
- Participate in IEP processes, including assessment, goal writing, and progress monitoring
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in Deaf education
