Caseload: 1 student total to start off
Grade Level: Elementary
Term: 26/27 School Year (August 2026 - May 2027)
Hours: Part-Time (10 hours per week with the possibility of this position going full-time as more students enter the ASL program over the course of the 26/27 school year)
Responsibilities
Provide specialized support and instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Collaborate with teachers, parents, interpreters, and support staff
Assist with IEP development and implementation
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Support communication access and student success within the classroom setting
Qualifications
Active Mississippi licensure/certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
