Qualifications:
- Valid DOE certification required
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly preferred
- Commitment to inclusive and accessible education
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Must complete required fingerprinting and background screening
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality direct instruction and support for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school settings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Consult with classroom teachers, staff, and families to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to enhance learning outcomes
- Utilize assistive technology and alternative communication methods as needed
- Travel between assigned schools as scheduled
