Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active DOE certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction required
- Experience teaching or supporting students in Deaf/Hard of Hearing programs, preferably in a school setting
- Comfortable with a flexible assignment—caseload and age groups will be finalized soon
- Willingness to complete mandatory fingerprint clearance prior to the start date
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and tailored support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop and adapt lesson plans according to individualized education plans (IEPs) and student needs
- Work collaboratively with school staff, specialists, and families to ensure student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation of student goals, activities, and outcomes
- Serve as a resource for staff and parents, providing guidance on best practices for inclusive education
