What You’ll Need:
- Active Department of Education certification
- Experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment
- Willingness to complete all district-required fingerprinting and background checks
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized or group instruction to students with hearing loss across assigned schools
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional methods to accommodate a variety of communication and hearing needs
- Develop and monitor IEP goals, providing input during team meetings and ensuring compliance with special education requirements
- Serve as a resource for families and school staff, offering guidance on communication strategies and assistive technology
- Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and student documentation in line with district policies
- Travel between assigned schools as needed, based on final caseload assignments
