Requirements:
Valid Tennessee teaching certification/licensure for Deaf and Hard of Hearing instruction
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Ability to meet all local and state employment requirements, including background checks and fingerprinting
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
Adapt instructional materials to meet student learning needs
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
