Blazer Jobs is actively seeking qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for full‑time, school‑based contract positions across the United States. Job Responsibilities
Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ communication modes, language levels, and learning needs
Support students in accessing the general education curriculum through accommodations and modifications
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teams, speech‑language pathologists, interpreters, and families
Utilize appropriate communication methods (ASL, spoken language, total communication, etc.) based on student needs
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
Advocate for student access, inclusion, and effective communication within the school setting
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
Active state teaching certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)
Knowledge of Deaf/Hard of Hearing instructional strategies and assistive technologies
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication methods as required by the role
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school team
Prior school‑based experience preferred, but not required
