Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education

- Skilled at developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration abilities to work with general education staff, families, and support professionals
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Compassion and creativity in adapting curriculum and communication to meet diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, aligning curriculum with IEP goals and state standards
- Develop and adapt learning materials to suit individual communication and educational requirements
- Advocate for student accommodations and appropriate classroom strategies
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and ancillary staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Offer guidance and support on hearing assistive technology and visual aids
- Monitor, review, and document student progress toward academic and socio-emotional objectives
