This role is ideal for a dedicated Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher ready to inspire and empower students across different school environments. Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) in the state of Illinois.
- Proven experience working as a DHH Teacher or Specialist in educational settings.
- Strong skills in adapting and differentiating curriculum for students with hearing loss.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Hearing Itinerant supporting students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing across multiple school sites.
- Provide individualized instruction, interventions, and advocacy for students with hearing needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Promote an inclusive, accessible learning environment.
