Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work on an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Passion for guiding students in building confidence and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom and one-on-one settings
- Assess student needs and adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Develop, implement, and monitor educational plans and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to coordinate student support
- Provide resources and training to staff and family members as requested
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
