Qualifications:
- Valid OSPI Certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement
- Prior success working with students who use cochlear implants, hearing aids, FM systems, and American Sign Language
- Proficiency designing and implementing appropriate accommodations and instructional strategies
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an accessible, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and consultative support for students in multiple school settings
- Assess student needs and advocate for necessary classroom modifications and assistive technology
- Support students using a variety of communication methods, including spoken language, FM systems, and ASL
- Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and families to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Provide outreach, training, and expertise to school staff on Deaf and Hard of Hearing resources and best practices
