Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Brentwood, TN

To thrive in this important role, you’ll need:
- Active Tennessee Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification
- National certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Previous experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s requirements
- Using appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies
- Providing direct instruction and support to K-12 students in a range of educational settings
- Serving as a resource for staff, families, and the educational team by sharing expertise and strategies
- Engaging in ongoing assessments, progress monitoring, and data collection
- Advocating for students to ensure access, participation, and success in the educational environment
You’ll work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, collaborating closely with colleagues in a dynamic, supportive setting. You'll have the unique opportunity to help students achieve their academic goals while growing professionally.
