Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification in Tennessee
- National certification for TDHH required
- Experience or training in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students across grade levels
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and ensure accessibility
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and modify instructional approaches as needed
- Communicate regularly with families to foster an inclusive learning community
- Advise on assistive technologies and classroom accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student success
This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 2027. You’ll work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
