Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Specialized training or experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, preferably at the elementary level
- Knowledge of best practices and current strategies in Deaf education
- Proven ability to tailor communication and instruction to individual student needs
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEP goals
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to working on-site for the duration of the assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to a third-grade student during the 2026-2027 academic year
- Work with school staff to coordinate and schedule weekly visits
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet specific student needs
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Communicate regularly with team members and families
