DHH Teacher | Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
Make a real impact by supporting a 3rd grade student with hearing needs in a vibrant educational setting. In this contract role, you will provide specialized instruction as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, focusing on helping one student reach their fullest academic and social potential.
This in-person position requires a commitment of one session per week for 20 minutes, with scheduling flexibility during school hours (8am–3pm). Starting as soon as possible, you’ll be working throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. The school campus is situated in a welcoming community near Menomonee Falls, WI.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and family members
- Commitment to providing individualized strategies that foster student success
- Ability to adapt teaching techniques to address different learning styles and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to one 3rd grade student in alignment with their IEP goals
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Consult with classroom teachers and related service providers to ensure consistency and support across environments
- Communicate routinely with caregivers regarding student growth and recommendations
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed to help guide educational planning
