Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing; open to out-of-state licenses
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in K-12 settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for engaging with staff, students, and families
- Ability to travel between school sites within minutes of each other
- Adaptable and self-motivated with a passion for fostering student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for five students with varying needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
- Consult with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure inclusive classroom practices
- Recommend and support appropriate assistive technology and accommodations
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
