Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) endorsement (open to candidates with out-of-state licenses)
- Experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
- Ability to travel between school sites (all within minutes of each other)
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to meet varying student needs
- Comfortable working with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to five DHH students, K-12
- Collaborate with general education staff and families to ensure student success
- Travel between several nearby school locations as required by student schedules
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans
- Use assessments and data to monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed
- Advocate for student access and accommodations within the school environment
