Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Daly City, CA

Make an impact supporting students across a vibrant school district as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing! This full-time, itinerant contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, providing consultative and direct services across district locations, serving a caseload that covers early childhood through transition-age students. Most assignments are in the Richmond area, with all work conducted on-site.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid DHH teaching credential
- Active CTC (California Commission on Teacher Credentialing) clearance
- Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, ideally in a school-based or consultative/itinerant setting
- Ability to collaborate with general and special education staff, students, and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to creating inclusive educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students throughout the district
- Assess student needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Support classroom modifications, instructional strategies, and assistive technology
- Travel between assigned school sites as an itinerant service provider
- Act as a liaison for staff, students, and families regarding hearing accommodations
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in relevant meetings
