Key Qualifications:
- Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification (such as RID-NIC or NAD IV/V)
OR - Achieved a 4.0 or above on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), in addition to passing the EIPA written exam
- Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in an educational setting is highly valued
- Proficient in American Sign Language, with strong communication and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and school communications for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Foster language access and inclusion across K-12 grades
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to adapt instructional materials as needed
- Provide interpretation during school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Uphold student confidentiality and adhere to all professional codes of conduct
