Your role will focus on providing both direct instruction and consultative services as an itinerant educator. You’ll collaborate with students, families, and school teams to tailor learning environments, foster communication, and advocate for best practices in accessibility and inclusion.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or credential as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience in educational settings working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across a range of ages
- Skill in adapting curriculum and utilizing assistive technology
- Ability to provide effective services either on campus or virtually
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting student independence and participation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing loss in various educational environments
- Offer consultative support and training to general education staff and families
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Travel between school sites as required (for in-person service providers)
