Qualifications:

• Current DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching certification in Minnesota (or ability to obtain for travel candidates)

• Prior experience working with DHH students is highly valued
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for fostering independence, self-advocacy, and confidence in students

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized lessons adapted for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate effectively with families, other teachers, interpreters, and support professionals
• Ensure compliance with all IEP goals and state educational standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
