Make a difference in the lives of students as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for the current school year. This full-time, contract opportunity is available for both local educators and travel professionals with a passion for supporting students’ educational growth. Work closely with students, staff, and families to cultivate an accessible learning environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold an active state certification to teach Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (DHH), required for travel applicants
  • Experience in a classroom or resource setting supporting students with hearing challenges
  • Proficiency with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum as needed
  • Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
  • Collaborative spirit to work alongside teachers, specialists, and administrators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specially designed instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs and goals
  • Consult with general education teachers to foster classroom inclusion
  • Facilitate the use of assistive technology and accessible materials
  • Communicate progress regularly with parents and educational teams
  • Support student development through direct instruction, small groups, and classroom integration
