Desired Qualifications:
- Current Colorado certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH)
- Experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, particularly within school settings
- Strong understanding of best practices for supporting D/HH students in mainstream classrooms
- Ability to develop and implement individual educational plans and accommodations
- Commitment to communication and collaboration with educational teams, families, and students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction and support to a 6th-grade student with hearing loss, based on their unique educational needs
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers
- Support the development of strategies that foster access and inclusion within general education settings
- Provide guidance and resources to staff and families to help maximize student success
- Maintain timely records and participate in team meetings as needed
