Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Educator Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Experience in educational settings working with students who are D/deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability and willingness to travel to and support multiple school sites as needed
- Skilled in maintaining accurate daily service logs and managing time efficiently
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, tailored to individual needs and IEP goals
- Develop and implement instructional strategies that accommodate hearing differences and promote student engagement
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accessibility and inclusion across classroom settings
- Maintain required documentation, including daily logs of services and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student planning and achievement
- Travel between school buildings as assigned, providing consistent, high-quality support
