Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Educator Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) required
- Demonstrated experience working with deaf/hard of hearing students in an educational setting
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
- Strong organizational skills, including maintaining daily service logs
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school locations as assigned
- Effective communicator with parents, staff, and students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided, meeting district requirements for daily logging
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and support the development and implementation of student plans
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students and their families throughout the school year
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom and school community
