Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Educator Certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
  • Experience working with students with hearing impairments in educational settings
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, including daily documentation
  • Willingness to travel between multiple school sites
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
  • Commitment to providing equitable access to curriculum and instruction

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across assigned schools
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate daily service logs in compliance with district requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student accommodations and modifications
  • Engage in any required pre- and post-planning activities as assigned
