Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License required
- Meets all state and district credentialing requirements
- Previous experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, administrators, and families
- In-depth knowledge of assistive technology, communication methods, and IEP development
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing loss
- Travel between assigned schools in the district to deliver services
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, interpreting staff, and related service providers
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet individual student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, developing and monitoring individualized goals
- Deliver training and resources for staff members and families as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district requirements
