Required Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois TDHH License (Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing)
- Meets any district or state-specific requirements, such as Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
- Skilled in both individual and small group instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general and special education staff, as well as families
- Strong communication and organization abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional and consultative services to students across assigned locations
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials according to student needs
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress and program effectiveness
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student education plans
- Provide resources and training for school staff to support inclusive practices
- Advocate for student access, accommodations, and assistive technology as needed
